BULLHEAD CITY - DAVE & PARKER, February 12th to 14th

On the spur of the moment, we decided we'd feel a whole lot better we had our wonderful Chuck, The Tire Man, rotate our tires before we went a few thousand more miles. He provides a 30A outlet so we could just get there Sunday night and wait for him to open Monday morning. He had begun closing the business when he realized it was good for Sue to go to work with him every day and to have the stimulation of seeing people every day. She suffered a brain aneurysm a few years ago and isn't very mobile.

We like Chuck for his integrity and thoroughness. He rotated the tires, spotted a problem and fixed it and gave us his usual good advice. While he had the camper, we went to breakfast at a likely place in Ridgecrest. The price was right, at least.

Our server.

The higher the hair, the closer to God?

We arranged to have a couple of free days before we needed to be in Lake Havasu City so we could stop and visit Dave, if he wanted us. He couldn't have been more welcoming! We decided to stay in the same RV park he's in. When it came time to select a site, though, we didn't take the one next to him. Felt too much like 'stalking'. It was no problem finding one since the park was the emptiest we'd ever seen it.

The next morning we saw him leave for a while. Turns out he went to buy a new computer! By the time we saw him later in the day, he had it all set up and was using it! Very talented!

It was good to see Parker again. Dave said Parker had put on weight so he set out to slim him down. He did a great job!

Parker was a little apprehensive and wanted to go back inside.

So we talked with Dave.

And, of course, Parker had to know what we were talking about, so he watched us and listened from the safety of his house.

Tradition prevailed. The last time we were here, Carole got photos of one of the very tame roadrunners, too.
