| Looking back at Port Angeles, WA |
We got the ferry from Port Angeles, WA to Victoria, BC this morning and then headed up Vancouver Island. It was sunny in Victoria and got cloudy as we traveled north.

Gas prices in Duncan on Vancouver Island, B.C. And yes, Zoe, that is a Starbucks in the background.
We stopped at a COSTCO in Nanaimo to get apples. The Customs Officer confiscated all our apples (about 8 of them), so we had to restock. At COSTCO it was a ZOO. Seems on Saturday, everyone on the island shops there. Linda did a marvelous job of circling in the camper and Carole braved the crowd to get more apples (from Washington State mind you—don’t know why customs would not let us keep the Washington apples we had with us.)
We received change in Loonies ($1.00 coins) and Toonies ($2.00 coins) Here’s a photo of the coins in Linda’s wallet with a US nickel thrown in for size comparison. Thanks J.R. (and Nancy B), we did have our bank at home get us Canadian money.

The two bi-metallic coins appear to be Mexican. NAFTA influence?
