Port Townsend

We headed to Port Townsend on the Olympic Peninsula to visit with our friends Gery & Lynne. It was a Victorian Seaport and is certainly picturesque. They were expert guides and we got to see things we would never have seen.  There are many beautifully restored Victorian buildings here.

There is a vibrant arts community and we were especially taken with this beautiful fence.  There is a section of wooden kitchen tools and one of wooden toys.

There is also a working boatyard and thriving waterfront.  The Wooden Boat Foundation is here as well as an associated festival and school.
