Linda knew Wilmington had changed. After all, they have been making movies here since 1984. Television series "Dawson's Creek" was made in Wilmington, beginning in 1998. There had to be some big-city amenities.
Ambivalent though she may be about Whole Foods, sometimes it just strikes Linda's sweet-spot. We've been missing good California fruit. Not the Driscoll's c__p in clamshell containers, real fruit.

North Carolina strawberries. Look at the label. They're grown in "solar tunnels".

It was so nice to be in a Whole Foods again. Isn't this beautiful?

And isn't it so like whole Foods to make you feel bad for using fake Easter basket grass?

A Trader Joe's, too. Notice the billboard for supplies for home brewing. Yes, Wilmington has changed.

We have been watching for one of these since New Orleans. Not that we have any love for Chick-fil-A but because the cows are made by Blaine Kern Studios. Mardi Gras World is one of their warehouses.

Did anyone ever imagine there would be a brew pub in Wilmington? Located in a 149 year-old building, Front Street Brewery has some outstanding beers and the food is pretty good pub grub. The Pulled chicken Nachos get raves.

As we left the brewery after dinner there were pipers gathering.

Two more of the band. Wonder if our friend Martha ever plays in brew pubs?

Ooh! The double-flowering cherry trees are beginning to bloom.

Layer of pollen on the hood. Carole has had a mean allergy attack. Now we know why.
