Sarasota Elks Lodge
The Sarasota Elks Lodge takes reservations for their two RV spaces. Even though it's South of town, it's a convenient place to camp. Away from the highway, the only fly in the ointment was a huge parking lot with enough lights for a small city. We were behind the BMW-Lamborghini dealer!

Our site behind the Sarasota Elks Lodge. It's the perfect spot - next to the Tiki Hut.

Friday night is Fish Fry at the Lodge. Don't laugh - it was better than many meals we've had. Notice Carole is eating while Linda is taking pictures of her food.

Sarasota Farmers Market

Ripe Florida peaches. They didn't taste very good. How can they grow and ripen them when the days are so short?
|
 |
Strawberries from Plant City. They're very good.

We have been spoiled by California's farmers' markets. Our Certified Farmers' Markets require that the farmer grow the produce the farmer is selling. It must come from within California. Not so in Florida.

Breakfast after the market. One of our favorite things about Florida is getting good bagels.

Where else would you see flamingoes on men's shorts?
