We have seen all but one of the Academy Award nominees! Having to wait in Southern California and Tucson allowed us to go to a lot of movies. We went to a movie complex in a Tucson mall with twenty theaters. Monday was Senior Day ($6) and every day the first showing of a film was bargain priced - $5.75.

Twenty theaters, one cashier.
Provincials that we are, we had never seen a food court restaurant offering samples.
Rest easy, you can find your favorite wine in Tucson.
This may be he biggest wine shop we have ever been in.
The beer aisle - taken from the middle of the store. They were sampling five wines, six tequilas and we didn't count the vodkas.

Carole is recovering well from her fall. She decided to give up her black fanny pack of thirty years and try something new.
Carole's new Baggallini cross-body bag holds her iPad Mini as well as wallet and the usual stuff.

There is another Lazy Daze in the FAMCAMP. We stopped and met the most interesting couple, Bev and Jim. They publish a nice blog, http://jimandbev.blogspot.com I enjoyed reading it and even learned some new techniques from Bev, the editor. It also reminded us that we were failing to take advantage of being in this beautiful area. So we copied them and went to Sabino Canyon one day.
Surprisingly, there is quite a bit of water in the canyon.

For $8 the tram takes you up the canyon and back down. The driver narrates on the way up. Six stops allow you to get on and off. We rode up and walked part of the way down.
We planned to have our lunch at one of the tram stops. It's so nice when we are in an area with a Trader Joe's for groceries. They have lots of prepared and partially-prepared foods.
A healthy salad of Greens and Seeds.
After our return to the Visitor's Center, we saw this list of programs offered. Shock was our initial reaction to seeing an old friend's name on it. He retired to the area and appears to be involved in leading nature walks. Had we known, we would have come earlier and joined him.
Dinner - black beans, farro, grilled peppers and onions, red kuri squash and a side of collard greens. We usually eat well on the road. Linda loves to cook in the motorhome.
Love the cacti but more than that the food! Will check regularly and Happy Trails!!
